Solinas Integrity is an innovative robotics startup incubated at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. Solinas Integrity has raised $5.5 million in a Series A1 round. The funding round was led by Hero Enterprise. The investment witnessed support from a strong group of investors such as Mela Ventures, SBI Ventures Limited, Rainmatter, Luthra Group, and 8X Ventures.

The newly added capital will be used to move the company’s expansion programs forward and further consolidate its presence in India as well as aggressively strengthen its market position in core global regions, especially the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Fund utilization and market expansion

Established by Divanshu Kumar and Moinak Banerjee, the startup focuses on creating innovative solutions for the inspection, cleaning, and digitization of complex underground water and wastewater networks using advanced robotics and AI systems. Solinas Integrity is able to install cutting-edge robotic solutions efficiently and safely below the earth’s surface to mitigate major urban infrastructure challenges that would otherwise need a significant amount of physical digging.

The fresh capital of $5.5 million will be used to further the market penetration of Solinas Integrity in existing geographies and systematically grow into more states and municipal corporations across India. In addition to growing its geographic reach in domestic markets, the enterprise aims to improve its global reach, strategically entering markets in Southeast Asia and the Middle East where demand for infrastructure maintenance continues to grow.

Solinas Integrity intends to devote resources to research and development to expedite the development of future-generation robotic inspection and cleaning systems. This includes improving its home-grown AI-driven asset management software and expanding its industrial presence. While the foundation water and sanitation is at the heart of its operations, the startup is also pushing its technology into other areas of critical systems that require continuous monitoring and maintenance, such as oil and gas and defence.

Operational milestones and financial growth targets

With a target of ₹100 crore revenue by FY28, Solinas Integrity has achieved ambitious results in the commercial sphere. The projected accelerated pathway to profitability will be driven by continued strong demand in the core water and sanitation business, combined with the fast pace of market uptake in surrounding high-value asset management sectors.

Solinas Integrity has already established itself in many Indian cities through its technology use in over 35 cities across 15 different states. The company works closely with top-notch municipal corporations and utility companies in some of the country’s largest cities like Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Noida, and Tripura. The startup has completed over 100 projects since its inception, identified over 25,000 infrastructure issues, and worked with over 20 industrial clients.

Solinas Integrity’s technology provides significant operational advantages. Its robotic inspection units can save up to 600,000 litres of water per kilometre of inspection daily and reduce operational costs by up to 5 times over traditional methods. Solinas Integrity actively promotes a safe working environment for workers and the reduction of manual scavenging by automating underground maintenance.
