Hulp has raised $2.6 million (approximately ₹22.7 crore) in its recent seed funding round. The equity financing round was co-led by investment houses Sparrow Capital and BITKRAFT Ventures. Venture firm DeVC (Z47) was also among the many prominent angel investors who were active in the funding round.

Yashish Dahiya, co-founder & Chairman of PB Fintech, was among the angel investors who joined the funding round. The capital injection highlights investor trust in Hulp’s mission to meet the rising needs for a structured lifestyle and operational management that fits with modern urban households.

Leadership and core platform capabilities

Hulp is a personal assistance and concierge service designed to help urban households by outsourcing daily tasks. The idea behind the startup is to take care of your everyday, weekly, monthly, and even one-time requirements in over 15 categories. 

The platform focuses on these operational needs with dedicated personal assistants, supported directly by AI-coordinated operations. The interaction process is conceived in such a way that it maximizes convenience for the customer, who can assign tasks through WhatsApp or a native mobile app using quick voice notes.

Their suite of products includes many areas of home and personal affairs. The key areas where the startup operates include kitchen management, dedicated runner services, gardening support, laundry management, and government documentation assistance. 

Apart from household duties, Hulp can also assist with theater bookings, restaurant reservations, and travel arrangements within lifestyle and leisure services. The platform aims to facilitate routine management for ambitious city dwellers by providing a one-stop solution for these various activities.

Hulp owes its roots to a leadership group that was formed at the start of this April. Neha Kulwal, Tarun Mathur, and Vishal Singh Khutel are also co-founders of the startup who partnered to create the personal assistance platform. 

Before its inception, Tarun Mathur was a co-founder and the Chief Business Officer at PolicyBazaar (PB Fintech). At PolicyBazaar, Tarun Mathur managed and scaled a few key pillars of the business, adding to his Professor and Executive experience.

Capital allocation and geographic expansion strategy

Officials said the $2.6 million in seed funding will be allocated strategically to support the company’s four main pillar operations. One of the key areas the startup is emphasizing is its ability to extend these AI workflows into its lifestyle, household, and operational management processes. 

The fund will be used to expand the senior leadership team by bringing in more qualified individuals to lead different parts of the company as it scales. The company is also set to invest in the strengthening of its technology stack to provide a smooth service experience for its platform users.

Currently, the startup has service operations ongoing in key metros of the NCR, including Delhi, Gurugram, and Noida. Hulp is supported by a dedicated team of 50 people who manage and execute the daily requests that are made by the users, where users request the handling of their households and lifestyles. 

The startup has also announced expansion plans to other major cities of India following its maiden entry into these prime markets. The expansion plan of the firm includes entering urban cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai, where the demand for the technology is expected to increase.
