SUMMARY

Utsav is a spiritual and devotion platform based in Kolkata. Utsav has raised ₹36 crore (approximately $3.8 million) in its Series A funding round. The investment was led by Atomic Capital. Atomic Capital is a venture capital firm. Existing investors, including India Quotient and Equanimity Investments, also participated in the funding round.

The fresh capital infusion is a significant achievement for the spiritual technology business that continues to gain traction in the swiftly transforming digital devotion and faith technology panorama in India and throughout the global market.

Core leadership and financial milestones

With the latest Series A funding round, Utsav’s total capital raised to date stands at ₹42 crore. This total amount of funding comprises a previous equity investment of ₹6.35 crore raised by the company in January 2025.

The company reported robust financial traction and business expansion, stating that its revenues have expanded by 8X from its last fundraising round in February 2025. In terms of operations and fulfillment, it is currently performing and fulfilling at least 2.5 lakh orders per month, which indicates the users are very engaged, the platform is widely adopted, and there is demand for digital spiritual services within the user base.

Utsav is a founding board of Sourajit Basu, Ankita De, and Prajata Samanta. It functions by directly engaging with temple priests, famous scholars, and experienced acharyas to offer genuine services to its increasing followers. It integrates online puja bookings, registered puja consultation programs, e-prasad services, consecrated prasad delivery, and customised spirituals.

Fund utilization and global diaspora reach

The fresh capital of ₹36 crore will be well positioned to drive the next stage of Utsav’s corporate and business roadmap in the upcoming 12 to 24 months. The company plans to expand its own staff members in technical and operational areas, customer support to accommodate the growing order volume generated, and its expansion within services.

Sectors identified for investment include physical and digital expansion of its countrywide network of partner temples, along with profound technical investments in platform personalization, search and discovery algorithms, logistics systems, and platform fulfillment.

In addition to the growth in its domestic market, Utsav is striving to grow digital and operational capacities for the Indian diaspora across the globe. This cross-border strategy empowers overseas devotees living outside India to easily engage in genuine practices and enjoy devotional worship at popular temples across India.

With its operations and international footprint growing, Utsav is set to face competition from the domestic market and some other major names that are part of the faith-tech ecosystem like Vama.app, AppsForBharat, Astrotalk, Astroyogi, DevDham and other digital devotional apps operating in the space.

Conclusion

Atomic Capital’s financial support during the Series A round of funding, valued at ₹36 crore, marks continued investor trust in Utsav’s business model and growth path. The Kolkata-based startup has set a solid operating foundation with a funding pool of ₹42 crore, an 8X revenue hike after the previous capital raise, and a monthly fulfillment volume of 2.5 lakh orders.

The infusion of funds will help Utsav expand its devotional reach with technology, logistics, team growth, and engagement with the international diaspora for the expansion of its devotional ecosystem and increasing digital access to sacred rituals and temple services across the globe.
