Delhi. 25 August, 2026. Game Developers Association of India (GDAI), today announced the first cohort of 15 game studios as part of Supernova, its nationwide incubation programme. In partnership with Tencent, IVIPRO, SpielFabrique, Indus Appstore, Mintegral and Lakshya Digital, the programme will support promising pre-revenue game studios and original game IPs.

The 15 studios were selected from 260+ applications submitted by studios across the country, underscoring the depth of emerging game development talent and the growing pipeline of original game IP being built by Indian studios.

Launched in July 2026, GDAI’s Supernova is designed to help pre-revenue stage studios turn promising game ideas and prototypes into commercially viable, globally competitive businesses.  The three-month programme combines customised mentorship with access to industry expertise, investor and publisher networks, industry credits, AI-led development support and opportunities to showcase games at leading industry platforms.

Supernova is a part of GDAI’s broader effort to strengthen India’s game creation ecosystem by helping studios build original IP, develop sustainable businesses and connect with global markets. GDAI currently represents 200+ member studios and positions Supernova alongside its wider initiatives spanning talent development, global outreach, policy advocacy and industry development.

Rajan Navani, Board Member and Chairperson, GDAI Incubation Subcommittee, said, “The selection of this inaugural cohort marks the beginning of a focused journey for these 15 studios. Over the next three months, Supernova will bring together mentors, technology partners, publishers and investors to help each studio address its specific development and business priorities. We look forward to seeing the cohort translate this support into stronger games, clearer commercial pathways and compelling showcases at the Demo Day during IGDC.”

The inaugural cohort represents a diverse mix of game studios and creators across genres, and development stages. The selection process evaluated applicants on the strength of their teams, the originality and potential of their game concepts, their entrepreneurial mindset, commitment to the programme, alignment with Supernova’s support offerings, and evidence of market validation. The distinguished jury included industry leaders from the global gaming and interactive entertainment ecosystem.

The 15 studios selected for the Supernova inaugural cohort are:

Absurd Games | Team Quasar | AbhiTech Games | Konkan Coast Studios | Dunali Games | Chitrakala Interactive | Ashdev Studios | Compiling Shaders | Brahman Studios | Yaari Games | Funwave Studio | Arcadon Games | Shivaansh Artvision | AnonVision Creative Labs | Parkince

Speaking about the partnership, Priya Narasimhan, Chief Business Officer, Indus Appstore said, “At Indus Appstore, we are deeply committed to helping India’s gaming ecosystem grow and enabling homegrown studios to build for scale. GDAI’s Supernova program is a strong step in that direction.

As a partner, our team is excited to work closely with these studios through hands-on mentorship, while also supporting their growth with priority onboarding on Indus Appstore and ad credits to kick-start user acquisition. We look forward to seeing these studios showcase their potential and, ultimately, build successful gaming brands from India for the world.”
