Dazzl Raises $3.2 Million

SUMMARY

Bengaluru-based on-demand beauty and wellness startup Dazzl has successfully  raised ₹3.2 crore in a Seed funding round, marking a significant milestone in its growth  trajectory. The funding round was spearheaded by Stellaris Venture Partners, with  notable participation from esteemed founders and industry leaders such as Ritesh  Agarwal, Maninder Gulati, Abhinav Sinha, Sameer Brij Verma, and Abhishek Bansal.  This investment reflects a growing confidence in Dazzl’s unique approach to hyperlocal,  on-demand beauty services.

Funding to Propel Quick-Commerce Beauty Model

The newly acquired capital will be instrumental in piloting and scaling Dazzl’s quick  commerce-driven beauty and wellness model across selected micro-markets in  Bengaluru. The company aims to establish repeatable neighbourhood-level operations  that facilitate speedy service delivery while ensuring consistent quality. Additionally, a  portion of the funding will be allocated towards technology enhancements, professional  training systems, and go-to-market strategies, paving the way for smoother and quicker  expansion within the city.

Reimagining Everyday Beauty and Wellness Services

Founded by Komal Solanki and Ashish Bajpai, Dazzl is transforming the way consumers  access everyday beauty and wellness services. The platform allows customers to book  services such as quick blow-dries, head massages, pedicures, and routine grooming  needs, with trained professionals arriving at their homes in under 10 minutes. Unlike  traditional appointment-based platforms, Dazzl prioritises frequent, everyday use  rather than just special occasions.

Vertically Integrated Operating Model

A key differentiator for Dazzl is its vertically integrated business model. The startup  oversees its own supply chain, professional onboarding, training, and operational  workflows. This comprehensive control ensures consistent service quality and enables  the company to respond swiftly to local demand. It also allows Dazzl to optimise  turnaround times and maintain standardised customer experiences across various  micro-markets.

Focus on Hyperlocal Execution and Repeat Usage

In the coming year, Dazzl plans to solidify its presence within Bengaluru, focusing on  enhancing repeat usage and customer retention in targeted demand clusters. Rather  than pursuing aggressive multi-city expansion, the startup is concentrating on  operational efficiency and unit economics at the micro-market level before considering  further scaling.

Positioning for Long-Term Growth

With an increasing consumer demand for at-home services and quicker fulfilment  models, Dazzl is strategically positioning itself at the crossroads of beauty, wellness,  and quick commerce. By developing robust hyperlocal capabilities early on, the  company believes it can achieve sustainable growth and explore expansion into other  urban centres when the time is right. As competition in the on-demand services sector  intensifies, Dazzl’s emphasis on speed, frequency-driven services, and operational  control may help it establish a unique position in India’s evolving beauty and wellness  landscape.
