Nexedge Capital secures $20 million in maiden funding round

SUMMARY

Nexedge Capital is a wealth management company based in New Delhi. Nexedge Capital has raised $20 million in its maiden funding round. The funding round was led by Mirae Asset Venture Investment and Elev8 Venture Partners. The infusion of funds marks a crucial stage for the wealthtech company as it cements its place in the emerging wealth management market of India. The first round of funding will help the firm enhance its business operations strategy.

Capital deployment and business model

The proceeds of the latest fundraising will be used by Nexedge Capital to support multiple strategic growth initiatives designed to bolster its core businesses and market footprint. The funding will be used for strengthening its technology platform, building its senior banker network, and deepening its reach in tier 2 and tier 3 cities in India.

The wealth management arm will create a dedicated Non-Resident Indian (NRI) proposition tailored to overseas clients. The company also plans to expand its financial service offering with a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) venture.

Nexedge Capital is a company founded by Anirudha Taparia in February 2025. Anirudha Taparia was previously co-founder and Joint CEO of 360 ONE Wealth, where he was instrumental in developing the wealth management business. The firm serves wealthy individuals, ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNIs), families, and corporate customers and works through a holistic approach to managing a family’s overall net worth and not just its investable assets.

Nexedge Capital provides wealth management and multi-family office solutions in the areas of investments, portfolio management, estate planning, business growth, and global mobility.

Client base growth and funding trends

Since inception, Nexedge Capital has accelerated its commercial growth and scale. The company reports delivering more than $3 billion in assets under management (AUM) and serving around 1,300 clients within 18 months of opening its doors.

The firm has already brought in over 95 senior bankers to meet this growing demand and to manage complex financial portfolios. In the year ahead, Nexedge Capital anticipates hiring 50 to 60 more senior bankers to strengthen its global talent and advisory abilities based on geographic regions.

The fund raise by Nexedge Capital is aligned with the product investment waves that are going on within the wealthtech industry in India. Entrackr data shows that Indian wealthtech companies secured 39 investment rounds and secured over $634 million in funding during 2024 and 2025. The trend of robust capital inflows from these firms has carried over to the current year, and several notable platforms in the space have raised new funding.

Significant ones include Veriqus led by Norwest Venture Partners with a fundraise of ₹387 crore (approximately $40 million); AssetPlus of $19.3 million; Wint Wealth raising $28 million; and Neo Group and Bachatt of $36.3 million and $12 million respectively. Other wealthtech companies, including HyperNorm, CREST and Prime Investor, have also raised investment funds in the same period.
