Vikram Solar Sunsure Energy Contract

SUMMARY

One of the leading solar photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturing companies in India, Vikram Solar Limited, has received a major order to supply high-efficiency solar modules by Sunsure Energy Private Limited. This major order, which was announced on October 23, 2025, is another milestone in the speeding up process of the country turning into a strong base of clean energy, which highlights the strengthening of the domestic solar production and project development.

Deployment and supply of modules

The agreement solidifies the partnership between two influential forces of the Indian renewable energy market, making it stronger. Vikram Solar has been contracted by Sunsure Energy, a top provider of renewable energy solutions to businesses and utilities in India, to switch to green power and to supply them with a huge capacity of 148.9 MW (megawatts) of solar modules.

According to this domestic contract, Vikram Solar will supply its high-tech M10R N-Type TOPCon modules. These advanced modules are rated to 595 Wp (watts peak), which is known to have high efficiency, enhanced reliability, and high capability of yielding energy. These high-performance modules are to be implemented in two states, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. These states are becoming well-known as the key contributors to the development of the clean energy goals of India and the incorporation of large-scale solar projects.

The time frame of this single contract delivery will be rapid and will focus on the immediate pace in the renewable market of India. The modules supply will be finished in 60 days after the Notice to Proceed (NTP) and completed by January 2026. This fast-paced turnover plan will make sure that the projects of Sunsure Energy are timely implemented and will contribute to the increase in green power capacity.

Financial performance and market position

The 148.9 MW order by Sunsure Energy is an extension of a line of major contract awards Vikram Solar already has this year, which has strongly established Vikram Solar as a Tier 1 manufacturer. The firm has been quite effective in receiving mass orders with major players in the industry.

Vikram Solar had already secured huge contracts before the Sunsure Energy contract, such as 200 MW of AB Energia, 336 MW of L&T Construction, and 326 MW of Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited. It produces highly efficient photovoltaic (PV) modules, and it is present worldwide in 39 countries. It has a large production capacity in terms of cumulative capacity, which is 4.5 GW at the moment.

The Sunsure Energy contract was announced, coinciding with spectacular financial results announcements by the company, which highlighted its strengths in operation and market dominance. Vikram Solar reported an amazing growth in its consolidated net profit, which increased to Rs 128.49 crore in the quarter ended in September 2025 (Q2 FY26). It is an enormous increase over the Rs 7.36 crore figure recorded in the previous quarter ended September 2024.

As it was reflected in the rather rapid rise in profitability, the company’s sales also showed strong development. In Q2 FY26, sales increased by 93.72% on a year-on-year basis, amounting to a consolidated total of Rs 1,109.91 crore in the second quarter of the previous fiscal year (Q2 FY25). This robust financial performance also confirms the aggressive growth policy of the company and its capacity to tap the domestic market of high-efficiency solar modules that is on the rise. The scrip of the company responded positively to the news and the good quarterly performance and was up 0.43% to trade at Rs 337.40 on the BSE.

Conclusion

The current buoyancy of the Indian solar market is one of the major indicators of the supply contract between Vikram Solar and Sunsure Energy. It indicates the strategic need to roll out dependable, technologically enhanced modules in large-scale utility and commercial sectors to satisfy the soaring demand for clean and sustainable power in the country.
