Swish secured $24 million in a funding round led by Bertelsmann India Investments
SUMMARY
Swish has raised $24 million in a funding round. The investment round was led by Bertelsmann India Investments. The investment round saw strong participation from its existing investors, including Accel, Bain Capital Ventures, and Hara Global. It has a niche business model among merchants belonging to the quick commerce and online food delivery category and maintains a chain of neighbourhood kitchens that prepare and deliver fresh meals within 10 minutes.
Capital utilization and operational reach
The working mechanism of Swish involves using local neighborhood kitchens for quick preparation and prompt deliveries. Swish has also seen a considerable boost in culinary products and has pushed its food offerings to over 250 SKUs across over 20 categories.
The overall orders for lunch and dinner have grown to represent a larger percentage than for snacks and late-night menus. This $24 million funding round will be used to scale Swish’s productivity network, build out the kitchen supply chain, and enhance capacity.
The company has an ambitious growth story and wants to have more than 1,000 kitchens in India within the next 5 years and reach out to multiple cities. This new expansion initiative is designed to diversify its geographic footprint and its number of kitchens.
Financial metrics and competitive landscape
In terms of delivering orders, Swish stated that more than 80% of its total order volume is delivered in less than 15 minutes. The startup currently serves approximately 50 pincodes in its core geographies. With larger operations and a growing kitchen capacity, the company is set to significantly widen this pincode distribution by extending 10-minute delivery to more customers.
Before raising this latest $24 million funding round, Swish had already received around $54 million in funding. Swish raised about $14 million in the fundraising round in March 2025.
Swish earned ₹4 crore in total while recording a total loss of ₹19 crore during the first eight months of operations in FY25. The quick delivery startup has not yet announced its official financial figures for FY26.
The fresh investment round comes after the fast food delivery service saw increased competition from a few major names in the industry. Swish is challenged directly by fast-food apps like Blinkit’s Bistro, Zepto Cafe, and Swiggy’s Bolt. Swish is a part of the larger online food delivery and cloud kitchen market in India, where established giants like Rebel Foods and Curefoods already have significant presences.
Conclusion
Swish will continue with its growth strategy and, with the addition of $24 million of new growth capital, the firm’s estimated post-money value stands at approximately $175 million, supported by strong investors such as Accel, Bain Capital Ventures, and Hara Global. Swish aims to roll out over 1,000 kitchens in the next 5 years, plans to expand its coverage beyond 50 pincodes, and is looking to add more than 250 SKUs to its menu in order to gain a stake in India’s competitive food delivery and cloud kitchen market.
