TrucksUp secured $8.2 million in a growth funding round
SUMMARY
Logistics platform TrucksUp has raised $8.2 million in a new growth funding round. The fundraising was done at a price of $42.3 million post money valuation. The investment round includes participation from family offices, institutional investors, and the company’s co-founders Sarthak Shah Elwadhi, and Aviraj Singh Chadha, who have added more equity shares in the company.
Fund utilization and technology offerings
The startup will use the new capital to scale its technology stack and grow its end-to-end fleet solutions, according to a press release from TrucksUp. The new round of investment is part of a growing investor focus on AI-powered logistics and freight technology solutions.
The fundraising comes as part of a pivotal day in the sector as other entrepreneurs have also secured crucial investments, including FreightFox receiving ₹5 crore in a pre-Series A round backed by HighLeaf, and Mojro Technologies raising $5.5 million during its Series A round.
The Gurugram-based company was founded in 2022 by Sarthak Shah Elwadhi and Aviraj Singh Chadha, and functions as an AI-backed digital freight marketplace and logistics solution.
TrucksUp has been developed with the intention to solve the problem of the continuous demand-supply gap that exists in the conventional trucking industry in India. TrucksUp connects the truck owner, fleets, and drivers directly to firms that need commercial movement of their cargo.
To ensure smooth efficiency in operations, TrucksUp employs AI-powered algorithms that connect the available trucks to loads in real-time. This reduces the waiting time for drivers on reverse loading. TrucksUp provides the user with an integrated dashboard for real-time GPS tracking, document management, and shipment tracking.
Driver welfare and strategic ecosystem support
In addition to freight matching, TrucksUp provides a comprehensive range of business and operational services for transporters. The company offers FASTag solutions, smart fuel programmes, insurance support, and specialised vehicle financing options.
The platform also enables the purchase and sale of new and locally used commercial vehicles for fleet operators. In order to support smaller markets, the company has joined forces with a strategic alliance to offer financing for vehicles to automotive transporters in Tier 2 and Tier 3 locations, providing direct access to capital.
TrucksUp prioritizes driver well-being by hosting health check-up camps and safety programs. The platform also provides drivers with access to its network of dedicated parking spaces and resting facilities, known as the platform’s “Apna Ghar” along the major transport corridors.
For strengthening the safety and logistics operations on the road, the platform has tied up with official government infrastructure organizations such as the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and Indian Highways Management Company Ltd (IHMCL). Through these strategic relationships, the platform provides drivers with real-time feedback and live road information.
Conclusion
With the success of the $8.2 million growth round, TrucksUp continues to expand its presence in India’s digital logistics marketplace. Equity from its co-founders further supports the company’s technology-first business model, and its post-money valuation has reached $42.3 million.
The integration of real-time AI freight matching, business and finance services, driver safety programs, and partnerships with organizations such as NHAI and IHMCL is helping TrucksUp to shape a modern and efficient truck ecosystem in India.
