SUMMARY

Data Science Wizards (DSW) has raised $5 million in its latest pre-Series A funding round. The funding was from angel investors. Before this fresh capital injection, the company had also raised approximately $1.4 million through seed financing in October 2024. It was led by an angel investor. It valued the company at $16.4 million.

Core operational areas and solving challenges

The company plans to use the $5 million proceeds to invest strategically in a few key operating segments. An official press release states that the primary goals of Data Science Wizards are to speed up product development as well as promote the use of the system’s flagship enterprise AI operating system in different corporate industries.

In addition to technological research and development, the capital investment will be allocated to the company’s geographic expansion of the North American market, boost the core engineering and customer success team, and improve existing strategic partnerships with industry key players. Founded in 2019 by the founding team of Pritesh Surendra Tiwari, Sandhya Oza, Sandeep Khuperkar, and Shivam Thakkar, Data Science Wizards has been working on a significant problem in large organisations.

Many businesses and highly controlled industries still struggle to operate AI safely in their processes. Businesses often find themselves facing challenges with data governance, system interoperability, rigorous regulatory adherence, and overall institutional oversight over the evolving nature of their data assets.

In response to this, Data Science Wizards created UnifyAI OS to resolve these critical security and architectural limitations. This platform is an enterprise-wide AI operating system that delivers a comprehensive and seamless operating layer for businesses.

For large organizations, the UnifyAI OS provides the infrastructure to deploy, integrate, develop, govern, monitor, and seamlessly manage standard AI with advanced AI agentic applications. The system is designed intentionally to give enterprises the freedom to deploy AI technology without losing control, ownership, interoperability, or security over the entire internal AI system.

Strong commercial presence and competitive landscape

Data Science Wizards already has a commercial presence as they have worked with customers in various high-value, data-driven sectors. The company’s technical operating system is currently offered for large companies in the banking, financial services, insurance, and public service sectors.

The AI sector within these regulated industries faces an urgent need for a unified platform capable of managing AI operations efficiently while adhering to security measures, privacy regulations, and regional compliance standards. With the pre-series A funding to scale the rollout of UnifyAI OS, Data Science Wizards is eyeing direct competition with some of the largest enterprise software and data analytics providers in the world.

The company’s direct competitors in this niche space include prominent international enterprise tech companies like Palantir, Dataiku, DataRobot, H2O.ai, C3 AI, and SAS Viya. DSW is trying to establish a niche in the market by providing a common operating layer that places particular focus on enterprise control and security in the long term.

Conclusion

The $5 million pre-series A round is a milestone for Data Science Wizards, as it paves the way for the company to move its operations from India to the international market. Having received the support of angel investors, the AI-powered enterprise tech company has proven the need for a full-featured secure platform such as UnifyAI OS. Data Science Wizards emerges as an innovative infrastructure provider that could provide the centralized control, secure management, and interoperability that modern enterprises need to safely maneuver in the future of technology.
