Neetu Chandra-Backed Agrifeeder Secures US FDA Certification, Sets Sights on Global Exports

SUMMARY
Agritech startup Agrifeeder, supported by Bollywood actress Neetu Chandra, has achieved US FDA certification, paving the way for the export of agricultural products sourced directly from Bihar’s farmers. This certification is a significant milestone for the company as it ventures into international markets, focusing on value-added, region specific Indian produce.
The announcement took place at an event in Delhi, where Agrifeeder unveiled its global brand identity, “Agrifeeder by Neetu Chandra,” under which all its international products will be marketed.
Cultivating Global Brands from Local Produce
Founded in 2017 by Priya Pandey, Raman Kumar, Raunak Kumar, and Neetu Chandra, Agrifeeder operates as an agri-commerce platform that collaborates closely with farmers throughout Bihar. The startup’s primary mission is to assist farmers in moving beyond the sale of raw commodities by facilitating branding, packaging, quality standardisation, traceability, and structured supply-chain support.
By developing export-ready products derived from Bihar’s indigenous crops, Agrifeeder aims to create sustainable brands that can thrive in global markets while ensuring improved income stability for farmers.
Tackling Challenges Faced by Small Farmers
Agrifeeder’s business model is crafted to address the persistent challenges faced by small and marginal farmers, such as limited market access, price volatility, and reliance on intermediaries. With a Bihar-first approach, the startup directly connects farmers to both domestic and international buyers, enabling them to gain greater value from their produce.
The company is confident that regional excellence, combined with global quality standards, can unlock substantial opportunities for Indian agriculture on the international stage.
Neetu Chandra on Trust and Traceability
During the launch event, Neetu Chandra, Co-founder of Agrifeeder, expressed that her association with the brand signifies a personal commitment to quality and the welfare of farmers.
“By putting my name on the packaging, I am vouching for the quality, the sourcing, and the livelihoods tied to every product. As we step into global markets, this brand embodies trust, traceability, and the conviction that Bihar’s produce can compete on the international stage,” she stated.
A Diverse Product Range Rooted in Bihar
Agrifeeder boasts a wide array of products sourced from various regions in Bihar. Its offerings include lemongrass herbal tea, chanasattu, chanasattu blended with moringa and wheatgrass, raw honey, Jardalu mango, Katarni rice and poha, jaggery maize, and other unique indigenous products.
These items are developed with an emphasis on clean sourcing, minimal processing, and compliance with international quality standards, making them well-suited for export markets.
Empowering Farmers and Supporting Rural Livelihoods
Currently, Agrifeeder collaborates with a network of over 50,000 farmers across Bihar. In addition to facilitating market access, the startup engages in community initiatives, such as adopting villages to foster local employment, agricultural development, and livelihood generation.
By guiding farmers from commodity-based selling to branded, value-added exports, Agrifeeder aims to enhance farmer incomes by up to tenfold in the long run.
With US FDA certification now secured, Agrifeeder stands as a compelling example of how regional Indian agriculture can expand globally through quality, branding, and a farmer-first approach.
