Panasonic Enhances Collaboration with Startups in India

Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND), in partnership with Panasonic Corporation,  has reaffirmed its dedication to India’s residential technology landscape by announcing  the winners of the third edition of its startup accelerator programme, Panasonic  Ignition. This initiative aims to support innovative startups that are rethinking the future  of residential living through technology-driven solutions.

In this edition, Red Health and Respirer Living Sciences were declared joint winners of  Ignition 3.0. Both startups will collaborate with Panasonic to develop scalable, market ready solutions designed to enhance the quality of residential living across India.

Emphasis on Smarter, Healthier Homes

Ignition 3.0 revolved around the theme of “Residential Business Challenges,” with a  keen focus on smart technologies, sustainability, personal wellness, connected  devices, and community-focused solutions. The programme attracted 113 applications  from early- and mid-stage startups throughout India, showcasing a vibrant interest from  the nation’s innovation ecosystem.

Following a thorough multi-stage evaluation process, 11 startups were selected for a  three-month accelerator cohort. During this time, the startups engaged in expert-led  masterclasses, received mentorship from Panasonic and Beyond Next Ventures, fine tuned their business strategies, and validated their technologies with industry experts.

Spotlight on Winning Innovations

Red Health operates a technology-driven emergency response platform that provides  comprehensive services—from the initial moments of an emergency to last-mile care  delivery. The platform aims to deliver quicker, more dependable emergency medical  support to households.

Respirer Living Sciences focuses on developing IoT-enabled energy recovery ventilators  that enhance indoor air quality while optimising energy consumption. This solution  addresses growing concerns regarding air pollution and indoor health without  sacrificing sustainability.

Leadership Insights on Innovation

Mr. Tadashi Chiba, MD & CEO of Panasonic Life Solutions India, underscored the rapid  growth of India’s startup ecosystem and Panasonic’s long-term commitment to co creating impactful solutions. He remarked that Ignition 3.0 embodies Panasonic’s  philosophy of “Create Today, Enrich Tomorrow,” where innovation transcends products  to enrich daily life.

Mr. Kunio Gohara, Chief Transformation Officer at Panasonic Corporation, described  Ignition as a strategic avenue for discovering long-term innovation partners. He  highlighted India’s significance as a global innovation hub, particularly in areas such as  safety, wellness, energy, and community living.

Broadening the Innovation Ecosystem

In addition to the IGNITE winners, Panasonic also announced the ACCELERATE award  winners—Ambiator, Biomoneta, Cantata, and Kubo Care. These startups will work  alongside Panasonic on pilot projects and explore mid-term strategic partnerships.

Over the past three years, Panasonic Ignition has transformed from a startup  accelerator into a dynamic open innovation platform. The programme has engaged with  over 700 startups and partnered with 46 of them to develop, validate, and scale real world solutions that tackle future living challenges.

Shaping the Future of Residential Living

As India’s residential landscape rapidly evolves, Panasonic continues to invest in  partnerships that foster safer, smarter, and more sustainable homes. The insights  gained from Ignition 3.0 are expected to inform future product development and  reinforce Panasonic’s role in shaping the next generation of residential technologies in  India.
