NeoSapien Raises $2 Million

SUMMARY

In a seed investment round headed by Merak Ventures, NeoSapien, the business that  unveiled India’s first AI-native wearable gadget, successfully raised $2 million, or  roughly Rs 18 crore. Several well-known angel investors, such as Awais Ahmed (founder  of Pixxel), Anupam Mittal (founder of Shaadi.com), Sameer Mehta (co-founder of boAt),  Namita Thapar (founder of Emcure Pharmaceuticals), and Aprameya Radhakrishna  (CEO of Koo), contributed to this investment round.

With this additional funding, the company plans to increase its workforce in important  engineering and operational domains, improve brand awareness, and speed up product  innovation. With NeoSapien establishing itself as a pioneer in this field, this investment  is a major endorsement of India’s developing AI hardware industry.

Neo 1: The First Wearable Personal AI Assistant in India

NeoSapien’s flagship product, the Neo 1, is crafted as a Personal AI Assistant (PAIA)—a  concept the company refers to as a “second brain.” Unlike conventional AI tools that  require active prompts, PAIAs signify a new era of ambient intelligence devices that  function silently in the background. These systems are made to run constantly, develop  long-term memory, reason through past and present events, and provide insights  proactively without the need for constant user engagement.

The Neo 1 accommodates over 100 languages, including regional languages such as  Kannada and global languages like Mandarin. Its custom-engineered hardware stack is  equipped with sophisticated contextual intelligence, allowing users to capture,  interpret, and organize daily conversations and activities in real time. The device aims to offer seamless assistance throughout the day by integrating smoothly into the user’s  daily routine.

Co-founders Dhananjay Yadav and Aryan Yadav emphasize the significance of this  technology in alleviating cognitive load. “We’re developing technology that integrates  with the background, enabling you to remain present in your life. Consider all the mental  tasks we juggle— recalling discussions, reviewing background from previous weeks, and connecting information. Neo 1 manages that effortlessly. We’re liberating human  intelligence for what truly matters,” they stated.

Investors See Global Potential in India’s AI Wearable Wave

Merak Ventures’ founding partner, Sheetal Bahl, asserts that PAIAs offer India a unique  chance to spearhead a significant global technological transformation. He identifies  NeoSapien as the leading candidate to showcase India’s capabilities on an  international level. “Aryan and Dhananjay have accomplished something  extraordinary—creating an innovative consumer product in under a year with minimal  funding. But this is only the beginning. We are confident that NeoOS will ultimately drive  the sales of hundreds of millions of AI consumer wearables in India and around the  world”.

Building the Core OS for the Future of AI Wearables

While Neo 1 marks the company’s inaugural consumer product, NeoSapien’s ambitions  extend far beyond that. The founders aspire to establish a foundational OS layer for all  AI assistant devices, encompassing smart glasses, pendants, watches, rings, and other  next-generation wearables. Their forthcoming NeoCore SDK will empower businesses  and developers to create applications utilizing NeoSapien’s intelligence framework,  fostering a broader ecosystem of AI-driven consumer technology.

Founded by Dhananjay Yadav and Aryan Yadav, NeoSapien is positioning itself not  merely as a wearable technology buzz, but as a primary platform for intelligence provider for the global AI hardware market. With fresh funding, a growing workforce, and  strong investor backing, the business is ready to influence the next generation of AI powered consumer devices emerging from India.
