SUMMARY

Fixxly is a startup established and operating in the quick commerce of building materials, based out of Bengaluru. Fixxly has raised $5.5 million in its seed funding round. Notable venture capital firms were involved in the investment round. The investment was from Accel, Fireside Ventures, and Lightspeed India Partners.

The substantial seed investment represents a high level of confidence in the new breed of fast delivery platforms specifically geared toward the construction and building materials industry. The company’s acquisition of $5.5 million through these prominent venture funds positions it strongly to carve a niche in India’s fast-moving quick commerce sector.

Business model and operational architecture

The funds will mainly be allocated to investing in the development of Fixxly’s technology platform by building up its infrastructure and upgrading its front-end and back-end user interfaces to ensure the platform is able to process logistical data in real time seamlessly. The funding will be used to expand daily operations as the startup moves toward formal commercialization on September 1.

Fixxly will launch its commercial operations in Bengaluru and then implement a gradual nationwide roll-out that will expand its service across the country’s other major cities. Established in 2026, Fixxly is developing an AI-driven fast commerce system that focuses exclusively on the construction materials sector.

The platform supports a wide range of users, from carpenters, painters, and individual homeowners to electricians and contractors. Users of this platform can easily order basic items such as lighting, hardware, electricals, plumbing, paint, and plywood in an efficient manner among these numerous user groups.

One of the key selling points of Fixxly is its rapid delivery speed, as the company provides doorstep delivery within 30 minutes. Fixxly has an AI-powered supply chain set up to facilitate this rapid delivery process. The supply chain works through the use of a distributed network of dark stores to help achieve efficient management of inventory level, location, and demand.

Market expansion strategy and leadership

Shezan Bhojani and Sachith Varma are the co-founders of Fixxly, each with relevant entrepreneurial and operational backgrounds. Before establishing Fixxly in 2026, Shezan Bhojani also founded and co-led the home interiors business DesignCafe, which he merged with HomeLane in 2024. The startup benefits from his extensive background in the interior design and home improvement realm, offering it crucial domain knowledge.

Co-founder Sachith Varma has extensive experience in logistics, supply chain design, and end-to-end last-mile service delivery. Before founding Fixxly, Varma worked in the supply chain design team of the quick commerce firm Zepto and handled last-mile delivery at the e-commerce platform Flipkart.

This background in home interiors, fast commerce supply chain logistics, and scale-oriented last-mile delivery operations creates a base context for Fixxly’s quick commerce framework development.

Fixxly is developing for an initial commercial release in Bengaluru on September 1, with the goal of combating key pain points in the procurement arena for building and hardware materials. The AI-powered network is designed to significantly shorten waiting times for tradespeople, contractors, and residential customers by connecting the local stock of materials with on-site needs.

Initial focus will be on Bengaluru as a platform that will test Fixxly’s fulfillment network and 30-minute delivery guarantee. The company will use success in its flagship market to guide operations and is gearing up to enter other urban markets.

With $5.5 million in seed capital, a specialized founding team and support from Accel, Fireside Ventures and Lightspeed India Partners, Fixxly is looking to disrupt the way building supplies and hardware products are ordered and delivered in Indian cities.

Conclusion

The $5.5 million seed investment round is a significant step for Fixxly and the growth of fast commerce, taking it beyond groceries and consumer goods into the construction products industry. The startup has been backed by leading investors such as Accel, Fireside Ventures, and Lightspeed India Partners and will use AI and dark store infrastructure to make critical supply chains available in hours rather than days.

With steady leadership, effective technology solutions, and a well-considered approach to its operations, Fixxly looks to be an established company positioned to expand across the country with a commercial offering scheduled for September 1.
