Butterfly Learnings ₹65 crore funding

SUMMARY

Butterfly Learnings has raised ₹65 crore (approximately $6.7 million) in its Pre-Series B funding round. Inflexor Ventures led this investment. Other participating investors included Enzia Ventures, Insitor Impact Asia Fund, and IIMA Ventures, in addition to the lead investor.

The substantial financial investment represents a positive response from both emerging and recurring venture capital investors in the child development and healthcare space, supporting the platform’s vision and continued operational growth.

Capital utilization and core clinical focus

Dr Sonam Kothari and Dr Abhishek Sen established Butterfly Learnings. This organization is concerned more specifically with providing specialized treatment for children diagnosed with autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and various learning disabilities.

This overall service delivery approach encompasses clinical treatment, inclusive education, diagnostics, digital treatment, and technology-based treatments for such neurodevelopmental disorders.

The platform combines digital resources and contemporary intervention techniques with clinical care, offering a focus on early care and all aspects of child development for children who require paediatric behavioural health services.

This new capital infusion of ₹65 crore will be allocated to several strategic growth areas, reflecting the startup’s commitment to physical and technological growth. The proceeds of the company will be used to grow its center network outside Maharashtra, with additional regional markets anticipated in India.

The financial resources will be allocated to the enhancement of its fundamental technology infrastructure and its AI capabilities for healthcare interventions. Capital funds will be dedicated to expanding deployment of its proprietary Get SET Early autism screening solution.

The company plans to limit this rollout process, mainly by developing active partnerships and integration with hospitals and paediatricians. The organisation plans to use these resources to extend its therapist training programme to increase the professional bandwidth of healthcare provision.

Geographical expansion and technological capabilities

Butterfly Learnings has 90 centres in 22 cities in India. The company also establishes a special therapist training institute to ensure quality of care and standardized clinical procedures throughout its system. Through this institute, the organization continues to provide ongoing training based on clearly defined behavioural healthcare standards.

One of the technological distinguishing features of the platform is its exclusive use of specialized diagnostic software. Get SET Early is a unique global licence from Butterfly Learnings that assesses young children’s ability to process language input through bilateral eye movements. This technological solution has been approved by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) and can detect autism in children as young as one year.

The company wants to expand its working base significantly throughout the country. The key goal of its next stage of expansion is to extend its reach across India and build formal relationships with medical institutions, hospitals and paediatricians.

Butterfly Learnings’ distribution of the CDSCO-approved Get SET Early screening technology aims to embed the firm’s diagnostic capabilities within the mainstream paediatric health care storytelling, allowing for earlier detection and action for children in different parts of the world.

Conclusion

The successful closure of the Pre-Series B round led by Inflexor Ventures with support from Enzia Ventures, Insitor Impact Asia Fund, and IIMA Ventures is a significant operational milestone for Butterfly Learnings. With a current presence in 90 centres across 22 cities and ready to expand its portfolio beyond Maharashtra, the paediatric behavioural health platform has been founded by Dr Sonam Kothari and Dr Abhishek Sen.
