BizDateUp Technologies has acquired a 20% stake in this environment-impact startup, Duro Green.  This Ahmedabad-based startup was founded in 2019 by Kamlesh Bipinchandra Shah, & Nishank  Kamlesh Shah, it provides waste management services. This waste management startup provides a  wide range of waste management solutions to businesses and communities in India. 

By acquiring a 20% stake, BizeDateUp Technologies is planning to work and collaborate closely with  Duro Green to optimize operations and integrate technologies and automation. This collaboration will  also help Duro Green to solidify its position in waste management solutions. According to a report by  TERI, India’s annual waste is bout 62 million tonnes with only 12 million tonnes of it getting treated  before disposal, and the remaining gets ended up in landfills.  

Duro Green develops cutting-edge waste management solutions and is dedicated to sustainable practices and environmental responsibility, which makes it different from other startups. The startup  has completed over 350 projects while serving thousands of households by recycling a huge amount  of waste, which helped in the reduction of CO2 emissions and land conservation. The co-founder of  BizDateUp Technologies said that they expect India’s waste management and processing sector will  see significant growth in the next 5 years.

He also mentioned that initiatives like Swachh Bharat  Abhiyan by the Indian government are helping them meet SGD goals. He also mentioned that investing  this amount of money in this startup is their initial step to address various challenges while capitalizing on substantial growth opportunities.

According to a report by APN  news, Meet Jain, the co-founder of BizDateUp Technologies said, “Our investment highlights our  recognition of market opportunities across various waste management streams such as solar panel,  sanitary waste, batteries, Glass and more. These need innovative technologies and business models to  tackle”.

The collaboration is expected to face these challenges and create solutions to tackle them. So  far, BizDateUp has funded over 25 startups, raising $10 million fund. The founder of Duro Green,  Nishant Shah said that the approach of a startup to solve these challenges is more than the  conventional collection and disposal of mixed waste. With the support of BizeDateUp, the startup will  set new standards in waste reduction and management while contributing to global efforts in  combating climate change and promoting sustainable development.
