“Work hard in silence and let success makes the noise” Mr. Nazish Khan, Founder & CEO founded Growth Secret in July 2017 at the time of GST reform in the Indian economy, with the aim of to make financial & taxation affairs easy for start-ups.

When and how did you start?

He (Mr Muzafar Hussain ) started his journey from a small town name Berhampur in Odisha. After his primary education in his town, he then moved to Hyderabad to start his career and pursue his Graduation after struggling a lot and having scheduled part-time jobs, he could not afford expenses of his stay and education simultaneously, which made him return to his home.

Again, with a hope to pursue his studies he moved to Visakhapatnam as the cost of education and livelihood was comparatively low than Hyderabad. He completed his Electronics and communication engineering from Visakha Institute of Engineering and Technology. In his final academic year, Muzafar Hussain launched Appriffy. After a couple of years as plans did not work as expected Mr Muzafar Hussain had to head out to Bangalore for a job hunt. After working for 6 months and 25 days for CSS Corp as an Assistance System Engineer, he again came a full time with Appriffy.

How did you come up with the idea? Your inspiration moment

Looking around his surrounding Mr Muzafar Hussain strongly felt like he has to do something for the Nation to solve one of the major issues like Employment. With this vision and a passion to do something for others, he started Appriffy-Digital IT Hub to deliver quality Software Developers On-Hourly and On-Demand Basis.

Appriffy Team:

Mr Muzafar Hussain is the Founder & CEO of a young Tech Startup called Appriffy. With a hope to pursue his studies, he moved to Vishakhapatnam as the cost of education and livelihood was comparatively low than Hyderabad. Both the Co-Founders holds a vast corporate and startup experience of more than 10 years each. Mrs Apurva Tiwari also referred to as Startup Lady by Appriffy and was the first female entrepreneur to engage with Appriffy. About funding, plans on growth

After a long period of struggle by the Founding members finally, Appriffy was able to achieve its first round of Funding by an Arab based Nationality Mr Abdulla Aldarmaki. Mr Abdulla and Mr Muzafar have the same vision for Appriffy to make it Appriffy as a Unicorn. Appriffy is also on its way to raising the next round of funding within a couple of months.

When and how did you start?

People are just as extraordinary as they believe themselves to be. On this premise, Himanshu Chaturvedi ( Founder & Director ) founded Stickman Animation Studios in October 2015, which now is MotionGility, with the aim of acing the reach of explainer videos and doing something that doesn’t require constant dominance of others.

With one single laptop and no dedicated office, Himanshu started working from a friend’s place. It was a struggling path he chose to walk on, but the result was surely worth all the hardships and hurdles. Had it not been for his love for creative concepts and videos, he wouldn’t have been where he proudly stands today.

How did you come up with the idea? Your inspirational moment?

An incident drove Himanshu to this business idea. In the year 2015, while he was striving hard to prove his creativity, one of his students called him up late in the night, asking for an urgent video for they were doomed from every other possibility. Himanshu, not giving a second thought, jumped into the project and he was ready with it in less than 48 hours. He never realized that the video he came up with was to be showcased during India vs South Africa cricket match, held in Indore, in the year 2015. What inspired Himanshu the most was the audience that witnessed his work, his efforts.

A stadium was full of the audience. This moment was strong enough for him to work for his dream. But the push came subtly from his childhood friend Komal Kokate, who was then working in an MNC. Komal, acting as a backbone to Himanshu’s dreams, was always supportive of his ideas. No wonder she’s now the CEO and co-founder of the company. With her shared vision and zeal, she was ready to take the company to new heights.

MotionGility dreams of building an infrastructure where the team will witness no dominance, no boundaries while inducing and implementing their creativity and skills. The pressure is something MotionGility will always refrain it from their employees. The team of MotionGility should have smooth functioning while the rest shall be taken care of by the company. Be it the welfare of the team or anything around them.

With such a noble vision, the company also plans to be a one-stop branding solution in the near future. From logo-designing to the marketing, MotionGility plans to excel it all and the team is already working towards it.

The detailed journey, like what all you want to share with readers

Himanshu’s journey started with a single laptop and the vision of growing big. He had to seek help or barter deals from friends in lieu of his services since he was in dire need of a decent place to work from. He also had a barter deal for his first website ever, in return for a free explainer video. Himanshu also worked as a part-time faculty for 5000 INR at a friend’s institution, half of which would turn out to be his rent. 

Himanshu, despite working hard wasn’t able to get his hands on a good number of projects. It is exactly then that he dedicated the majority of his time towards researching. This is when he realised that he’d need a team. A team that can handle the clients, while he works.

Komal, Himanshu’s childhood friend, who was then placed at TCS Gandhinagar, came to his rescue. She has always been that one person who supported and boosted Himanshu’s spirits. She also had an inclination towards entrepreneurship. The next thing we know is that Komal was back from Gandhinagar, all set for her entrepreneur roadway.

Together, Komal and Himanshu grabbed the first project that got them 600 INR. With time, the duo realized that survival is meagre, hence Komal had to opt for a job in another MNC, once again, but this time in the hometown. While she was busy with her job, she also took up her entrepreneurial responsibilities seriously.

She stole time during her lunch breaks, early morning and late hours of the night, to work on the client handling part, while Himanshu worked on networking and his portfolio. After 3 months, the monthly turnover finally touched down to 15000 INR and bought some new clients. All the while, the USP remained to provide the best quality at the lowest cost, in half the time. 

6 months later, they hired an employee whose salary was equivalent to the company’s then turnover. Meanwhile, a bit of saving and Komal’s scholarship got the company three machines. However, the duo kept on going without any income. 

While everything was getting back on track, the happiness of Himanshu and Komal was short-lived. Before they could celebrate the first anniversary of Stickman Animation Studios, Himanshu witnessed the sudden demise of his father. Broken, he travelled to his native place. While he was away, a couple of employees back in Indore betrayed Komal and Himanshu by converting the company’s projects into their own.

Although Himanshu and Komal asked them to leave, they again had to start from scratch. A few months later, they got hold of an employee who wasn’t much of a professional but was intensely passionate and keen to work. Now their sole USP was to deliver quality videos, with a new team. 

With the company gaining its pace, Komal and Himanshu now started hiring interns. They looked up for a bigger space and skilled employees. Meanwhile, Komal and Himanshu weren’t drawing any salary, despite Komal having quit her job again for the company. A mutual friend then helped the duo by offering 1 Lac INR, for acquiring basic assets.

While everything was falling in place, they still couldn’t get skilled employees. This is when Komal and Himanshu realized that they need a prime location to leave an impression. And as they believed in teamwork, the team contributed in designing the interior of the new location. It was a workplace built with effort and love. 

Now the company focused on treating the team as an asset. This included their recreational activities and a lot of motivation. 

About funding, plans for growth

Initially, Himanshu thought of raising funds from investors, however, one of his clients advised him not to do that. Rather, he should focus on increasing his clientele and networks. This hit Himanshu hard, and he started working for overseas clients and brought-in sufficient funds. 

Komal and Himanshu plan to have MotionGility a bootstrap till they really think that further investment is needed for the growth of the company. Though they now have an expanded vision. Soon MotionGility would be a one-stop branding company. Not just that, but they are also widening their horizons to the next level. They’ll soon come up with a YouTube entertainment channel and a product which still remains undisclosed while the work is in progress.

Challenges and Opportunities/ Marketing Strategies

A company is never an easy ride. Komal and Himanshu had to witness some major bumps and setbacks through their journey. While both of them lost their respective father in a span of a year, the company witnessed betrayal from a handful of employees. Another challenge they faced was the lack of funds. But where there’s a will, there’s a way. The duo fought through it together, and today, they stand strong as mountains.

While they had to face a bumpy ride, they also had their hands on some great opportunities. Overseas clients, getting the video showcased during an important international cricket match were the major ones. 

Komal and Himanshu believe in simplified yet effective marketing processes. They opt for pull marketing and networking, which helps in creating a say for their work. Not to forget, they believe in offering quality over quantity. Their videos tend to be connecting and relatable, which makes them an ace in the industry.

Himanshu believes that a good mentor can offer encouragement where needed, but market influence can lead to wrong decisions and greater problems. And ask this several times throughout your business journey. This way, you’d be aware of your product or service is worth selling.

When and how did you start?

I am Tripti Tiwari, CEO & Founder of “CloudTrains Technologiesformerly known as “CloudTrains Systems”.  After incorporation, its name as “CloudTrains Technologies Infosoluciones Pvt.ltd”. I started my Entrepreneurial Journey in 2014. First time I heard the name of Entrepreneurship when I got selected as Microsoft Student Partner & reached to final selection process ” Microsoft BootCamp at Dehradun”.After returning from there, I started thinking about how I can start my own service-based IT company. 

How did you come up with the idea? Your inspirational moment

As I (Tripti Tiwari ) mentioned my Inspirational Moment started in 2013 when I got selected for the Final Round of Microsoft Bootcamp, here I listen to many speakers and their journey and I decided that I want to do something for my own rather than to do 10-6 Job. I know I am good at Technical things and at that moment I discover that I have an ability of management, risk-coverage, and work under pressure.

CloudTrains have two Core Founding Members, Me (Tripti Tiwari) & Aditya Chaturvedi(Cheif Operation Officer). He is handling Operations & finance of CloudTrains. He worked with Yash Technologies in the initial days of his career and when we met in one startUp MeetUp, We started working together. His Ideas & Skills give CloudTrains a new level of growth, apart from this he is a wonderful team leader.

We as the duo were tackling three major challenges: no exposure to a thriving startup scene like the one in Bengaluru, Delhi or any other metro city, a lack of acceptance from their families, and a shortage of funds and connections. Every day we face a new page of Entrepreneurial Journey and only we know that each page and chapter is full of learning & adventure. At initial days we faced a lot of rejections, a lot of hurdles in Team Building and after that Work Culture.

As a CEO I am handling complete Management, Sales is my core skill, Developing Network & Connections & Build Strategies. At the Initial days of my career, I worked with 2-3 Startups for 1-2 Years to gain Experience and Learning.

I started my business in a room in my house. Hired 3 people on the internship. I always believe that if you have a true Entrepreneurial spirit and believe that you are dedicated towards your dream 100%, then no matter where are you working, only one thing matter how many dedicated people associated with you. I am following the same concept in my entrepreneurial journey.

We started getting clients, We worked for more than 50 clients in the first 6 months, this was a very huge success for us because all of us belong from tier-3 city of India “Gwalior”. After that in 2015, We moved to Software Technology Parks of India-Gwalior, in 850 sq.ft office and set a target to increase our client base from just double from the past. We did it, We moved to the next 1500 sq.ft office space in Software Technology Parks of India. We build a lot of products E-Commerce based, CRM, ERPs, Hyperlocal products, Education Products and many more.

Why I started IT Service based Company rather than Product Based?

personally, I always believed that IT Service based Company is also a product based company because we as IT Service build multiple products and I choose this idea for my Journey because I want to learn about multiple Industries and give them solutions that help to increase their growth and revenue and We are doing that. We worked for many product-based companies and just because we successfully Integrate & invest technology in their business they are doing extremely well in their Market. We have grown from a team of 3 to 60 since last 4 years. Moved from Tier-3 city of India-“Gwalior” to IT Hub of India-Pune. Still, we are in our growing & learning phase.

About funding, plans for growth

CloudTrains has completely Bootstrapped Company, We always believe that only your paying customers keep your business alive. We raised funding from our customers by investing in technology in their products. We don’t want a fast run in this startup world. We grow slow but make our root and foundation strong. As per the growth plan, we create more valuable and dedicated resources for our team & customers, Currently, we are working on new technologies like Blockchain, AI & IoT.

There are many challenges in StartUp Journey, But Number of Challenges is always equal to your learning. Challenges make you strong & give a chance to you to get the best version of yourself. IT Service Industry has a very vast market space in today’s era. Each & every industry depends on technology for their success, growth & revenue. 

A startup is not only about ideas, it is much more than that. It is about team building, paying salaries, creating a healthy & innovative work culture, working on new technologies on time irrespective of all the difficulties you face, being accountable to a lot of people, compliances, and so much more , says Tripti Tiwari .

We spend a very less amount of budget on marketing, we are using content & customer marketing as our strategy. We got our first client by one of my friend’s reference after from that 1st client to 800+ Clients value all we got on our trust & commitment basis. Whatever we commit to our customer we fulfil them. Client Reference, Meet Ups & Networking are our key marketing strategies.

Future plans and funding

According to Me, As a CEO- I never create future plans, I love to live in present, Whatever the things, clients, growth I have, I want to execute them successfully, after their execution I know the future will be best. Soon We are expecting to get more than 2000+ customers around the globe. Our StartUp is totally bootstrapped, We invest technology in our customer’s existing business or idea and give them a new growth.

When and how did you start?

Back in 2014, Cognify Tech started their journey competing with the demanding marketplace. Today, it is one of the leading IT service providers in Pune. They are mainly focusing on e-commerce, retail industry solutions and custom enterprise solutions.

Being an online and offline product seller in various e-com marketplaces since from 2011, Mr Jalaj Mohan Pingle found that there is a big opportunity in the e-commerce service industry in India, so he started developing e-commerce apps and websites for startups and mid-level company from Jabalpur City.  Later on, he finds various Human resource issues, so he shifted his business in Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Hinjawadi, Pune.

There he started his second inning of business, and he expanded it from 0 to 10 employees in the first year with over 50+ clients and  70+ e-commerce seller channel for selling his products.  Currently, Jalaj and his team are working on retail industry solutions like POS Application and ERP for Manufacturing industries.

Cognify Tech is the technology arm of Cognify Group and was founded in 2014 By Mr Jalaj Mohan Pingle.  Jalaj worked on night hours, weekends and never took vacations in the early days of Cognify. Cognify is now having offices in Hinjawadi and Hadapsar, Pune and Business associates in Germany, Ahmedabad.

Our first customer “DBS Bank” agreed with our vision in 2016. Improving candidates experience, Wanted recruiters to spend more time with potential candidates, while machines do admin tasks.

Deal was hard to get. Back then it was just the 3 founders. We had closed the deal based on relationship and trust of DBS with founders.

One of the things we did to get the deal is when we met the CEO at a conference and informed him about our idea. Getting DBS Bank as a customer was a major milestone for the company.

Series A – We are in the round now.

We have grown at a very fast pace. Last year around the same time, we had a 5 members team, now we are a 25 members team. Our revenue growth has been very significant and we are in a position to scale up to more companies and more countries than Singapore. We target to achieve a $100M valuation by 2023.

2. Order:

Hand in hand with planning is order as another basic principle of business management, since one elementary characteristic of the first is the second . A disorganized plan does not make sense, and, at the same time, a plan whose steps are not followed logically does not have it either. This, from the strategic point of view.

Now, from the material perspective, physical resources must also remain organized, even in production flows and while these are mobilized, the entire process must have a structure. Otherwise, they can be damaged or lost. However, at this point, for example, it is worth highlighting the usefulness of an administrative management system, since with it it is possible to locate and know the status of the products at all times.

3. Discipline:

Discipline is the organized and systematic way of carrying out certain activities aimed at achieving an objective, so intuitively we can see the relationship of this precept with the previous ones. So, if the company designs a plan with orderly steps, the people involved must be strictly respected, otherwise the objectives set can not be achieved either.

4. Coherence:

According to the RAE, coherence is the “logical attitude and consistent with the principles that are professed”, relevant concept in all areas of life and, of course, business management. This point is important when stressing that responsibilities and workloads must be delegated in a rational manner so that people can fully comply with them.

In addition, with coherence we also refer to the way in which resources, both material and human, are distributed within a company , which must be done in a functional way with respect to productivity, but also sensitive to the needs of workers that, although productive should not be seen as machines, and only a company that cares about being coherent in each of the aspects that govern it, can achieve it.
